PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HOW WE LEARN AND HOW WE USE THE IPADS

LABS

  • 1.Labs on paper that involve hands on work (microscope, chemicals, etc)
  • 2.Labs on iPads that are the same kind of labs, but some questions need to be
  • researched using the iPads
  • 3.Labs are usually done in groups, with individual work to do on the labs later

LAB REPORTS

  • 1.Overall report of the lab, many people use google drive on iPads to type
  • the lab reports.
  • 2.Many apps enable sharing, so two people can work on a lab report
  • together if it is group work

GUIDED NOTES

  • 1.Paper with notes to fill in as Mrs. Martin gives a lesson
  • 2. You can choose to do it on paper on download into an app on your ipad
  • to work on it
  • 3. Discuss with group members about the answers to the questions, then Mrs.
  • Martin goes over the material to make sure we have the right answers

ONLINE QUIZES

  • 1. Read a part of the textbook online at Sapling Learning (online quiz website) on iPad
  • 2. Take a quiz over what you read on Sapling
  • 3. Grades on quizzes reflect how well you know the material
  • and how much you need to study certain materials

VIDEOS

  • 1.Watch Mrs. Martins videos online that include important information
  • about a certain subject
  • 2.Take a quiz the next day in class about the video material to see if
  • you learned the material
  • 3. This helps you see what you need to study, and what you learned

IPAD APP ACTIVITIES

  • 1. Use the iPads to make videos to teach the class
  • 2. Use the iPads to answer questions on different activities we do in class
  • 3. Use iPads to take surveys or to turn in google forms that include the links
  • to projects or activities
