LET ME TELL YOU A STORY: AMANDA TODD

Amanda Todd was a normal girl with a bright future. she was pretty and was destined to succeed. one day one of her friends posted an innapropriate photo of herself on the internet.

her friends were no longer her friends. in fact she went from being popular, to having no friends at all. until, one day she met a guy she really liked, and he asked her to come to his house, she did.

instead of being greeted by her boyfriend, she was jumped by a pack of mean girls at his house, while he just stood there. she thought then her life meant nothing.

she tried to drink bleach, to kill herself. she survived but, she posted a video on youtube one day, called My Story. (since then many people have done these videos)

she told her story, and the people in the comments sealed her fate. they taunted her calling her names, saying she doesnt belong.

the next week after she saw all the negative comments. she killed herself.

how to prevent this

from happening again

be nice america. so many schools like mine have blocked youtube for this very reason. i know if knew that girl, i would have tried to help her.

dont post innapropriate videos of others, if they do not want it posted. so you do not create drama.

and finally. anybody below the age of 13 should not be on youtube. most kids dont need to see what is posted in the comments section.

and that is how you stay safe on youtube.

:)
