PRESENTATION OUTLINE

How to plan your path to career success

Explore how to build your expertise, identify opportunities and leverage your abilities.

Know your tools

I’m speaking to you today because I spent 20+ years thinking that the tools I needed to succeed and drive my career were and needed to be dictated by others.

The magic tricks that helped me were my pants, my boots, my uniform and I needed those because without them, my colleagues, largely male, wouldn’t have listened to me.

They wouldn’t have recognised and responded to me as a professional, let alone a professional woman.

It took me years to learn to be true to myself, to be authentic and to be assertive in a skirt!
