How to find landmarks

Mode

• Look at the data
• compare amounts
• the value with the highest amount is the mode
• if there's 2 its bimodal
• ex. 1,1,1,6,4,9,2,1,8,8,0,3 the mode is 1 because it appears 4 times

Median

• 0,4,8,4,12,3,9,6
• To find the median first put in order
• 0,3,4,4,6,8,9,12
• The you erase sides

Range

• First find the smallest number
• In our lst example 0
• Then find the biggest
• with our last example 12
• then subtract the smallest from the largest
• the answer 12 is the range

Mean

• The mean is just another word for average
• so you take your numbers
• let's say those numbers are 64 32 16 8 4 2 1 0.5 0.25
• if you add them all up its... one second to do it in my notebook
• so the answer is 127.75
• there are 9 numbers so 127.75... is 1 second
