How Gen-Z music really is.
Rap music is often heavily judged by the older generation because of language used. While not all rappers use explicit langauge.
Against this belief, a lot of rap music is used to convey the artist's feelings and get out past situations. It's a form of therapy to them.
Think of Eminem for example. His music has been used to take down artists who have hurt people. One of his newer songs talks about P. Diddy and his terrible actions towards people.
Another person to think about is Will Smith. His entire rap career was focused around the fact that you can still rap without the use of explicit language, which can appeal to older generations.
In my opinion, someone's music taste should never be judged. As they could maybe relate to what's being said or it can help distract from hard times in life.
Everyone should think about other sides more clearly and understand meaning behind things before judging.
