• 1) DOES THE BIBLE SPEAK OF DEGREES/LEVELS/AMOUNTS OF FAITH?

Mt 8:10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

Mt 8:26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Mt 17:20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Mr 4:40 But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?"

2) We should actively desire and work toward a stonger faith.

a) Ro 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

b) 2Th 1:3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,

Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain,
7 By faith Noah, prepared an ark
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called
11 By faith Sarah bore a child when she was past the age,
17 By faith Abraham, offered up Isaac,
21 By faith Jacob, blessed each of the sons of Joseph,
22 By faith Joseph, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel,

Heb 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king;
Heb 11:28 By faith he kept the Passover
Heb 11:29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea
Heb 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down
11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.
Heb 11:32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:

c) We ask God to "Increase our faith."

Lu 17:5 And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."

Lu 17:1 Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
4 "And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."
5 And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."

Jas 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;

3) Even if our faith bucket is full, we need something else.

Lu 17:7 "And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'?
8 "But will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink'?
9 "Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not.
10 "So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.'"

Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

BECOME A CHRISTIAN
Hear Him (Romans 10:17)
Believe Him (Mark 16:16)
Repent Of Sins Against Him (Acts 2:38)
Confess Him (Acts 8:37)
Be Baptized Into Him (Romans 6:3)

After baptism, Live For Him (Galatians 2:20)

COME HOME AS AN ERRING CHILD OF GOD
Come Back To Him (Matthew 11:28-30)
Repent (Acts 8:22)
Pray (James 5:16)

After restoration, Live For Him (Galatians 2:20)
