Compounds
A compound is a substance that is made by two different elements.when to different atoms from a different element meet each other they can bond. This happens because of electrons that are found in the atoms. The smallest unbreakable type compound is called a molecule.

Mixtures
A mixture is a substance made by combining two or more different components in a way there is no chemical reaction. Mixtures can usually be put back into it's original components.

BUT HOW CAN WE KNOW WHAT IS WHAT?

1. A mixture can be physically separated whilst a compound can't.
2. Using a microscope you can see what your substance is made of . If there are two atoms that are different your substances is a compound
, if they are the same it's an element.
