how do diffrent liquids affect plants growth?

Planting them

  • We put potting soil in 3 plastic cups.
  • We put 8 radish seeds in the cups too.

WHat we put in our plants

  • 30  ml tomato juice.
  • 30 ml honey.
  • 30 ml water from the sink.
  • 3/4 potting soil.
  • 8 radish seeds in each cup.

Honey

  • the honey we put in was very sticky.
  • I dont know if it will sprout.
  • the honey takes a long time to get out of the cylinder.

Tomato juice

  • It smells like vomet.
  • It looks very gross.
  • It is really gross.
  • it looks like red spaghetti. 

WATER

  • The water plant is growing very fast.

MATERIALS we used

  • 3/4 cup Potting soil.
  •  24 radish seeds (8 per cup)
  •  30 ml honey
  •  30 ml tomato juice
  • 30 ml water

our prodecure

  • get 3 plastic cups.
  • get 24 radish seeds (8 for each cup)
  • get 3/4 cups potting soil.
  • water plant 1 with 30 ml tomato juice.
  • water plant 2 with honey and plant 3 with water 30 ml each.

our hypothesis

  • Ryan's:If I pour honey on my plant it will probably die.
  • Wyatt's:If I pour tomato juice on my plant it will probably grow.
  • Quincy's:If I pour water on my plant it will grow.

Quantitative data

  • Day 1: There is a sprout in the water plant
  • Day 2:The tomato juice plant has a sprout
  • Day 3:The honey plant will not grow
  • Day 4: Over the day the water plant grew 2 and 1/2 cm longer
  • Day 5: The tomato juice plant died

Qualitative data

  • Day 1: The honey plant is not letting the sprout go up out of the honey.
  • Day 2:There is a sprout in the tomato juice plant.
  • Day 3:Today the tomato juice plant looks like red sauce.
  • Day 4:Today the tomato juice plant smells like vomet.
  • Day 5:Today the tomato juice plant smelled so bad that we threw it away

our data

  • The honey did not grow
  • The tomato juice grew 0.5
  • The water grew 7 inches

conclusion

  • The purpose of this experiment was to find out how honey, water , and 
  • Tomato juice. The data I collected in my experiment showed that honey 
  • and tomato juice are not good for a plant but water is.  
  • Adding some water to the honey and tomato juice it might grow

  • An additional experiment i could do in relation to this
  • is by putting a different thing in it then soil.
