HOW COMPUTERS HELP

TACKLE THE VIRUS

• Apps people use to send in information about there health. This allows scientists to track the virus and get loads of case studies
• Simulations to practice the spread of the virus and help the government make informed decisions, interestingly the “Corrupted Blood Plague” on WoW was a very good but accidental simulation of the spread of a virus.

CONTINUED

• There is a project for people sign up the computers to help fight against by lending there unused computing power to scientist creating a system 10 times as powerful as the fastest supercomputer
• Using computer to simulate different types of treatments

EDUCATION AND SOCIAL

• There has been a massive use of technology in communication, both educational and socially. Work has been sent digitally and there have been virtual meetings for both group and meeting up with friends as well as the normal DM and group chats
• Social media is the solution to the interesting problem of encouraging people to work together and keep morale up while also telling people to not socialise

FEELING ABOUT TECHNOLOGY

• Technology is good as it allows us to stay incontact with people, with this pandemic it has caused us to improve and notice existing technology and its possible uses
• I have enjoyed seeing how people explore and experiment with different systems making sure they are available and accessible for everyone
