HOW CLEANERS CLEAN

CLEANERS

  • One of the first made cleaners was made by the Ajax by colgate palmolive in 1947.
  • Another first made cleaner is mr clean and it was made in 1958.
  • The reason cleaners were created was to speed up cleaning process and kill bacteria.
  • Cleaners are soaps and soaps are water-soluble sodium or potassium salts of fatty acids. Soaps are made from fats and oils,or their fatty acids,by treating them chemically with a strong alkali.

FATS AND OILS

  • Fats and oils are from animals and plants sources
  • Each fat or oil is made up of a distinctive mixture of several different triglycerides

BLEACH

  • Bleach is what you use on white clothes to get stains out.
  • The main chemical that kills the bacteria stains is chlorine.
  • And the way it cleans is when you put bleach in the washer
  • You never want to put it directly on clothes.
  • Let the water agitate then add the clothes.

LAUNDRY DETERGENT

  • Was created for colors and white clothes to remove any odor and to refresh are clothing.
  • And since that it is a detergent its made of those fats and oils used to make soap.
  • So the way it cleans is when you put the detergent in the washer the fats and oils will eliminate the dirt and grime off the clothes.

BATHROOM CLEANERS

  • Also uses fats and oils.
  • Removes stains off sinks, counters, floors,etc
