• Homework was first used to show students discipline
• 82% of Students said that it is not helpful to their grade
• Most students don’t have time for homework

TEACHERS SHOULD NOT GIVE OUT HOMEWORK BECAUSE NOT EVERY STUDENT THINKS IN THE SAME WAY, HOMEWORK CAN BE A WASTE OF A STUDENTS VALUABLE TIME, AND HOMEWORK CAN BE A BURDEN FOR PARENTS.

EVIDENCE

• No one in the world thinks in the same way. This can make things difficult when dealing with homework
• Students need to have a good social life. Homework does not let kids be kids and it makes them grow up too fast
• Homework can cause stress for both the student and the parent. People can get mad when they don’t know how to do something correctly

Everyone is different

• If every single student is different and learn in a different ways than the teachers don’t have the time to teach and give out homework that fits the learning style of each and every single student

Students need time to grow

• We need time to relax and spend time with God and in the word. We also need time to spend with our family to secure a strong relationship with our families. With every teacher giving out homework we don’t have the time to do it, if we want our family to grow as a family together.

Stress for the family

• homework has also changed throughout the years. Parents do not have the same stressful experience in school. With technology issues and new and easier shortcuts with math mainly it can be hard to keep up. Parents did not learn this way so while they are trying to teach their children the child is saying “ we have to do it a different way” or by saying “ they want us to work it out fully on the paper”. This stresses out the parents and can cause the great relationship of a parent and their child to be torn down.

Teachers need to give out less homework and change the way that they are teaching their students. Schools set up classes the way that they do so that students can work in factories. Not everyone can be a factory worker.
