  • This is the honoring of Mary for her divine motherhood to Jesus Christ.
  • We honor Mary on this day for her "yes" to God.
  • Mary our mother is honored and glorified on all days, but especially this one.

JANUARY 6: EPIPHANY

  • The three wise men bear gifts to Jesus Christ.
  • Frankincense, Mir, and Incense.

MARCH 19: ST. JOSEPH

  • On this day we honor the spouse of Mary, Joseph.
  • Foster father of Jesus.

ASCENCION

  • After the resurrection of Jesus Christ
  • Jesus is taken up to heaven
  • This is in front of 11 of his apostles

HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST

  • This is the last supper
  • Jesus gave his body and blood for our sins
  • We remember this on this day and every mass

THE ASSUMPTION: AUGUST 15

  • Mary is taken up to heaven by Jesus.
  • She rises with body and soul.

NOVEMBER 1: ALL SAINYS DAY

  • Honor all the saints known and unknown.
  • Honor all the people who have lost their lives for Christ.
  • Honor all the people who have given their life for Christ and are in heaven.

FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION: DECEMBER 8

  • We remember the conception of Mary without sin.
  • She was conceived without sin.

CHRISTMAS: DECEMBER 25

  • Here we remember Jesus birthday.
  • He was born on this day.
  • Today the King came into our lives.

WHAT ARE THE HOLY DAYS OF OBLIGATION?

  • These are feasts where on these days, Catholics are required to attend mass.
  • The observance of holy days are part of the precepts.
  • These days are days of thanks and gratitude spent with family.
