In 1492 King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain expelled all Jews from the Iberian Penninsula

The Nuremburg Laws allowed for legal violent attacks on Jews.

Jewish shops were vandalized and some Jews were forced out of work and replaced by Aryans.

The German Christian Movement tried to get rid of pulpits and pastors who had converted from Judaism.
