  • Caused World War II and the Holocaust

CONCENTRATION CAMPS

  • Between 1933 and 1945, Nazi Germany established about 20,000 camps.
  • Used to force jews into labor.
  • Built many for mass murder, not many jews survived.
  • Killed jews by using gas chambers.

One third of all jews that were alive in the world before the holocaust, died afterwards.

At least 1.1 million Jewish children were murdered during the Holocaust

Hitler planned to collect thousands of Jewish artifacts to build a "Museum of An Extinct Race" after the war.

During WWII, two polish doctors saved 8,000 Jews from the Holocaust by faking a typhus epidemic that stopped the Nazis entering their town.
