• Discovered different structure of the atom
• "Liquid droplet theory" good way to show nucleus

Irene Curie

• Born in 1897
• Died in 1956
• Shared Noble Prize with her husband in 1935
• Her researching heavy elements was useful in the discovery of Uranium
• Recognized for synthesis of new radioactive fission elements

Robert Milkan

• Born in 1869
• Died in 1953
• Got Noble Prize in 1923
• Got Ph.D. for research on polarization of light
• Discovered charge carried by an electron
