  • He beloved that earth was the center to all things
  • His model had moon sun and planets all surrounding the earth

  • Was a Greek astronomer and mathematician
  • He proposed a heliocentric model of the solar system
  • His model was not widely accepted at first
  • He used observation and geometry to solve a scientific problem
  • 310-230 BCE

PTOLEMY

  • He was a astronomer and mathematician that lived in egypt
  • He wrote a book Almagest one of the few books written in this time
  • It was based off of observation of the planets
  • He made a model that astronomers used for the next 14 centuries
