High blood pressure is condition that makes the heart work harder to pump blood to the circulatory system.

High blood pressure can also put strain on the heart, which will enlarge and weaken it.

High blood pressure can also cause “ hardening of the arteries”, which is when the arteries lose their elasticity because they’ve been strained.

This impacts the function of the heart because it puts strain on the heart, which damages the arteries.

High blood pressure makes the whole circulatory system work less efficiently, which can cause a heart attack or stroke.
