HOW IS THIS CAUSED?

  • Hepatitis B is a serious disease caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV).
  • Unprotected sex
  • IV drug use
  • Blood, body fluid exposure
  • Hepatitis B is a non-curable virus

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS

  • Abdominal and joint pain
  • Dark urine
  • Fever
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Loss of appetite

Is Hepatitis B contagious?

This virus is only contagious when passed from a mother to a newborn baby.

How is the disease treated?
For infections, such as Hepatitis B, antibiotics have no value in the treatment of this infection.

Is there a cure?
There are no cures for viruses, however some symptoms may be temporary.

Continue care required?
-Long term therapy(to prevent cancer)
-antiviral drugs
-bioflavonoids (for infected tissue)

WHAT STEPS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PREVENT?

  • Abstinence
  • Condom
  • Birth control
  • Abstain from sexual behavior

Conclusion:
Hepatitis B is a virus that infects the liver and is un-curable. Hepatitis B is inherited by sexual intercourse.
