He was the second Tudor monarch

CATHERINE OF ARAGON
Youngest daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain
Married Arthur first; then married HEnry after his brothers death
By 1527 Henry believed God was punishing himnfor marrying his brothers wife
Believed the punishment was no son
Divorced her which was a huge controversy

ANNE BOLEYN
Married Henry secretly in 1533
Anne became pregnant with a girl
Henrys second wife was not popular; many thought she was a witch
Henry wanted to leave her but was impatient on the divorce process
In 1536 fake evidence against Anne was made and she was executed

JANE SEYMOUR
Third wife of Henry
Married Henry 11 days after the death of Anne Boleyn
She gave birth to Henrys son, Edward, in 1538
Jane unfortunately died a month later
Henry requested that when he died, to be buried next to Jane

ANNE OF CLEVES
Henrys 4th wife
Married her to make an alliance with the Protestant nation of Germany
They were married in 1540; however Henry thought Anne was ugly and wanted a divorce
The couple divorced six months later

KATHRYN HOWARD
Henry's fifth wife
Married her in 1540 however he was uanable to walk due to his weight & a leg injury
Kathryn was young, lively, and flirtatious, and was bored with her old husband
She sought out friends a,ong the courtiers and one of them bribed her for a spot in court
Kathryns actions led to her being charged of adultery and she was executed in 1542

KATHERINE PARR
Sixth, and last wife of Henry
They married in 1543
She was an amazing nursemaid and took care of Henry and his three children
In 1546 she was almost accused of treason for being a committed Protestant
Katherine out lived Henry but died in childbirth in 1548
