Fillmore was an American composer, musician and bandleader.

Fillmore went by many names, including Harold Bennett. He was known best for his many marches.
As a young boy, Henry played piano, guitar and flute. He secretly learned how to play the trombone because his deeply religious father thought it was a sinful instrument.

He composed his first piece at the age of 18 and named it after a line of brass instruments.

After entering the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in 1901, he traveled around the country as a circus bandmaster.

He later married Mabel May Jones, an exotic dancer, in St. Louis.

He went back to Cincinnati to direct the Shriners Temple Band, he eventually turned them into one of the best marching bands in the country.
