  • Improved appetite, sleeping patterns, energy level and ability to concentrate

Peritoneal Dialysis(Indications)

  • signs that you may need this form of dialysis are : diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney inflammation, and/or multiple cyst in the kidneys.

Peritoneal Dialysis(Results)

  • the results can very based on: size, how quickly the waste is removed how much solution is used, number of exchanges, and the concentration on sugar

Differences

  • Hemodialysis is done by a man made dialyzer.
  • Peritoneal is used by placing a catherer in the stomach and filtering it out through the membrane.
  • Peritoneal is more accessible at home then home hemodialysis which takes more training
