CONDUCTION

Conduction is a method of heat transfer. It happens when something that isn't an insulator comes in direct contact with a heated object.

An example of conduction would be touching a hot pan.

Another example would be walking barefoot outside on the concrete on a hot day.

CONVECTION

Convection is when heated molecules travel in a current.

An example of convection is a hot air balloon.

A pot of boiling water is also an example of convection.

Another example is feeling the suns warmth through space.
