A is for Anti-Literacy

In Fahrenheit 451, Guy is a firefighter who burns books. It is against the law to read any book. The government is putting up Anti-Literacy laws to enforce it.

B is for Burn

In this book, Guy burns books and everything around them for a living. Books are illegal because the government wants to demote thinking. Firemen are normally feared in society because of this reason.

C is for Clarisse

Clarisse is a girl who thinks different than everyone else. She flips Guy's world upside down as he starts to see things similarly. She also brings up many questions not thought about before.

D is for Drugs

In the book, drugs are taken for everything, and are very often overdosed. Mildred took 30-40 sleeping pills and had to get pumped out. This happens very often in the city.

E is for Extinction

In the book, literature is on the brink of extinction. Books and anything that could allow you to think is highly illegal. Guy burns them but later believes that it's wrong.

Firemen are people who are morally wrong but socially right. Burning books is not only fun for them, it's also their job. Beatty is the captain of the Firemen.

G is for Guy

Guy Montag is the main character in Fahrenheit 451. He is a fireman and he is married to Mildred. He meets Clarisse and starts to see the world differently.

H is for Hound

The mechanical hound is a robot dog held in the firehouse. Its purpose is to hunt down and kill anyone that has been acting illegal. It has an injector and eight legs.
