FUNCTION:

  • responsible for transporting materials throughout the entire body
  • Transports nutrients, water & oxygen to your billions of cells
  • It also carries away wastes such as carbon dioxide that cells produce

ROLE OF THE SYSTEM:

  • the heart, blood and blood vessels work together to service the cells of the body.
  • Using the network of arteries, veins and capillaries....
  • blood carries carbon dioxide to the lungs (for exhalation) and picks up oxygen.

PROCESS OF THE SYSTEM

  • It consists of the heart and the blood vessels running through the entire body
  • The arteries carry blood away from the heart; the veins carry it back to the heart

DISEASES OR ILLNESSES
