  • We look to the curriculum and student progress
  • Focus on concepts not yet mastered by the students
  • Include lessons not yet completed by the majority of the class

  • Next we prepare a variety of pieces to keep it fun and interesting
  • Video, discussion, polls, web links, games, lecture, real life connections
  • Where possible we extend the live lesson beyond that moment with Edmodo followup
  • Virtual field trips

Planning: Expert Level

  • The day of the lesson we sell it to the students
  • We post memes and cartoons in Edmodo
  • They are lined up for your lesson!
  • Create a buzz

Showtime

  • The first three minutes are the most important
  • We welcome them, recognize each attendee
  • Warm up their brains for some learning
  • Set the tone: for the next 45 minutes you will NOT be bored!

  • Direct them to a short video, they love this
  • Encourage discussion, make the lesson relevant to their lives
