HARRY TRUMAN

Harry Truman was born on May 8, 1884, in Lamar, Missouri. His parents were Martha and John Truman. He had a brother Vivian and a sister Mary. His wife was Bess Truman and they had a daughter named Mary Margret.

Truman went to William Chrisman high school, and the University of Missouri. He grew up on his family farm. Truman had many jobs, including;
Soldier, farmer, senator, Vice President and president.

This is a political cartoon made during the campaigning of Truman and Dewey.

Truman made the decision to drop the atomic bomb, which was a historical moment. He was the second president during WWII
And his decision ended The Second World War.

Truman was a part of the Manhattan project, which was a project where many people worked together to build the atomic bomb. Truman made the final decision to drop the atomic bomb on Japan. That decision ended world was two, but was the reason for the Cold War.

During these events, the Manhattan project was in place, the atomic bomb was built AND dropped. Truman was elected as president, and WWII ended.

Some outcomes of the bomb being dropped were that millions of Japanese died, WWII ended, and the Cold War started because Russia wanted to be a world power with nuclear weapons.

Harry Truman died on December 26, 1972. He died because of lung congestion and organ failure.
