Political cartoon
This cartoon shows the Two Grimm reapers, which both represent either death or destruction. The political cartoon is about Truman's decision to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The author seems to think its a mistake, because he makes the Grimm Reapers giant, and the Japanese peasant tiny. which shows that the Japanese citizens were powerless against the weapons of mass destruction.

Political cartoon
This cartoon shows a human hand holding the Earth. The caption says "Man's control over atomic power. To new heights or complete destruction?" The cartoonist is trying to convey that we need to be careful about how we use our newfound weapons, because if we don't, the Earth will be destroyed.
