• If a man put out the eye of another man, his eye shall be put out.

DO THE PEOPLE AGREE?

• If the people agree with the laws, maybe they will obey them better
• All laws should be enforced by the people because of confidence and inner authority.

IS IT IMPORTANT NOW?

• Yes
• It made the whole idea of enforcing laws
• But it showed that the rule of law should show fairness and not fear
• Now, this fair treatment in laws is practice in many countries today.

IS BEING OBEDIENT FEAR?

• True unity does not come from the tip of a spear, it comes from within the people.
• People only respect laws that are fair and just.
