WOMEN IN ISLAM

• Islamic laws, imported European laws, and reformed versions of Islamic laws affect women in Middle Eastern legal systems, and the status of women does not seem to have been settled in any of them.
• Political leadership was the judged for legal reforms in the status of women would promote the achievement of full modernization that reforms have been made.
• Middle Eastern women enjoy something close to legal equality with men in political life, access to education, professional opportunities, and salaries, goals for which Western women have long had to struggle.

WOMEN IN ISLAM

• Some dangerous laws that the women had to fear were that husbands are allowed to beat their wives if they fear disobedience, which implies that actual disobedience need not occur for the beating to be justified
• A more disturbing law that was attained to the women was sexual relations with females who have not yet had their menstrual cycle are permissible.
• One of the worst laws that was passed through Islamic women is that Sharia warriors are permitted to capture the women of infidels and use them for their sexual gratification.

WOMAN IN ISLAM

• The testimony of a woman is worth only half that of a man’s, woman may inherit only half as much as her male brother does.
• Divorcing a woman was very easy in Islam and was a very weird and unusual way. A husband can divorce his wife simply by stating, “you are divorced” three times in the presence of two adult mentally sound males, without even having to justify his decision, and he will retain custody of any children.
• Under the Sharia it was deemed that women were unintelligent and were no help to society that’s why they were treated like such garbage.
