OUR RADIATION IN THIS EXPERIMENT WAS THE LIGHT BULB

ATMOSPHERE

IN THE ATMOSPHERE THERE ARE 5 LAYERS: TROPOSPHERE,STRATOSPHERE,MESOSPHERE, THERMOSPHERE, AND THE EXOSPHERE

OZONE LAYER

THE OZONE LAYER IS THE LAYER THAT TRAPS HEAT. IT LETS SOME HEAT GO THROUGH TO HEAT THE EARTH BUT IT TRAPS OTHER RAYS SO THAT THE EARTH DOESN'T GET OVER HEATED.

WEATHER VS CLIMATE

WEATHER OCCURS OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND IS CHAOTIC.... CLIMATE IS EASIER TO PREDICT AND IS JUDGED OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME

STRUCTURE

WE CHOSE COTTON BALLS FOR POBLOS INSULATION .

ADAPTATIONS

THE PENGUINS HAVE TO ADAPT TO THE CLIMATE AND CHANGE THE WAY THEY LIVE

STRUCTURE

WE CHOSE WOOD STICKS AS OUR STRUCTURE BECAUSE THEY ARE STURDY AND STONG AND ARE NOT A CONDUCTOR

THE MELTING MOMENT

AFTER 20 MINUTES OUR POBLO CAME OUT STRONG ;)

AFFECT ON THE PENGINS

THE CLIMATE CHANGE IS AFFECTING THE PENGUINS BECAUSE IT'S HEATING UP THE EARTH AND CAUSING THE ICE THAT THE PENGUINS USE IN MANY WAYS TO MELT.

BEING BUILT

WE WORKED HARD TO GET POBLOS STRUCTURE BUILT AND LOOKING GOOD!

EXPERIMENT

THIS PICTURE SHOWS THE WHOLE CLASS TESTING THEIR STRUCTURES

2ND PLACE!

OUR DESIGN ACTUALLY WORKED WELL. OUR STARTING MASS WAS 12.4 GRAMS AND OUR ENDING MASS WAS11.3 GRAMS... WE COULD MAKE OUR STRUCTURE BETTER BY COVERING THE OPENINGS AROUND THE DOOR. THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT WE WERE GIVEN LIMITED US BECAUSE WE COULD HAVE BOUGHT A WHOLE LOT MORE MATERIALS...

IT'S DONE!

POBLOS STRUCTURE IS COMPLETED.... WE USED STICKS,COTTON BALLS, TAPE, AND A FOAM SQUARE!
