5.
COLLOID
Definition: A type of homogeneous mixture in which the dispersed particles do not settle out.
My own Words: the solid suspended phase in such a mixture.
6.
CONCENTRATION
Definition: The amount of a substance per defined space.
My own Words: Concentration usually is expressed in terms of mass per unit volume.
7.
DILUTION
Definition: a solution containing a relatively small quantity of solute as compared with the amount of solvent.
My own Words: Dilution is when something is watered down or weakened.
8.
IMMISCIBLE
Definition: Immiscible is the property where two substances are not capable of combining to form a homogeneous mixture.
My own Words: incapable of mixing.

MISCINBLE
Definition: soluble, able to be mixed to form a solution.
My own Words: Alcohol and water are miscible.
10.
MOLALITY
Definition: a unit of concentration, defined to be equal to the number of moles of solute divided by the number of kilograms of solvent.
My own Words: number of moles of solute per kilogram of solvent.
11.
MOLARITY
Definition: The concentration of a solution expressed in moles of solute per liter of solution.
My own Words: number of moles of solute per liter.
12.
