- Gun control is necessary to stop gun related violence. Although the Second Amendment grants us the right to bear arms, I find it to be vague with the protection it also grants to the people.

- 1911- "Sullivan's law" state issued license to possess a handgun
- 1939- Supreme Court upholds National Firearms Act; ruling appears to limit Second Amendment

- 1968- After the assassinations of many famous public leaders congress enacts gun control act barring interstate firearms sales to criminals and "mental defectives".

- In 2007 155 kids between the ages of 15-24 were killed by accidental gun deaths

- Highest crime rate is in the cities with the most gun control.

- If you put more gun control on states your only going to take the gun out of the law abiding citizens hands the criminals will still find a way to get one.

- It's not the gun but it's the person holding the gun.

- Sandy Hook shooting 20 2nd grade kids killed by an assault rifle AR-15. Assault rifles have been legalized since 2004.

- Gun killing has topped liver disease, Parkinson's, drowning, and fires.
- The most unintentional firearm deaths are caused by friends and families.

- Trigger locks are a safe way to keep handguns locked up in the house
- This method could help drop the number of accidental shootings in the house

- Another possible way could be to put a longer background check on guns
- Letting the store do a more extensive check

- Schools could teach more about guns so people can know what their doing when it's around
- They know how dangerous they are and won't fool around with them
CONCLUSION
- In conclusion, I believe that furthering extending the gun control laws and regulations will best suit the American society and help protect the citizens of the nation.
