  • Species- Eunectes murinus

Environment

  • Anacondas are predators with no mutualistic or commensalism relationship.
  • People are breeding anacondas for their skin
  • anacondas population is rising because of breeding and some crocodiles are becoming endangered.

Adaptations & Survival

  • Anacondas live in tropical rainforests
  • Nostrils on the top of head to help them breathe under water.
  • Sharp teeth and strong body to catch and squeeze prey until they suffocate to death.

Interesting facts

  • They can stay under water for 10 minutes at a time.
  • Unhinge jaws to help fit massive animals in their mouth.

Natural disaster and adaptations

  • They can camouflage with their pattern
  • they can be on land and water
  • in a drought the anaconda can be on land if needed. Many animals will be coming to the lakes and rivers to get water which allows for anacondas to easily catch prey and eat. The population won't be strongly affected.
