  • Most scupltures were influenced from Egypt .
  • They created sculptures of gods and goddesses then went to humans.
  • Art was a way to show pride in their city state.
  • Greek art has shown influences im modern art and artitechturess .

GREEK SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS AND MEDICINE

  • Hippocrates Was one of the first to find out that disease comes from natural things.
  • People found ways to treat people and tools to use for surgery.
  • Came up with the pythagorean theorem
  • Came up with geometry
  • Found out more about the human body allowing them to preform surgeries .

GREEK HISTORIANS AND HISTORY

  • Greeks cherished their history and made continuous recordings of ancient Greece.
  • Were some of the first to record or write down their history
  • Studied history a lot while in schooling
  • Were big story tellers about their own city states

GREEK THEATER

  • Most greek theater were either comedies or tragedies .
  • The word thespian comes from the great greek actor Thespis.
  • Dramatic performances were important to the Athenians.
  • Became a way of telling greek myths or history
