B. The roaring 20's led to The Great Depression when everyone spent money they didn't have.

Great Depression C. Native grass disappearing, long drought

D. WWII, because jobs were created to make machinery for the war.

New Deal A. Group of programs that created jobs for people.

B. Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Causes of WWII A. Treaty of Versailles, Germany had a weak government.

Causes of WWII C. Axis: Germany, Japan, Italy.

Allied: USA, Russia, Great Britain, France.

Hitler A. The hatred of Jews.

B. To rid the world of Jews.

Final Solution

A. Kristalnacht, Propaganda against the Jews, rise of Hitler, Jews put in concentration camps.

A. Germany had to pay 33 billion dollars, they also couldn't rebuild their army.

A. Jews tortured, concentration camps, 6 million Jews were killed, death marches, Jews went into hiding.

Kristalnacht A. Nazis destroyed Jewish shops and homes.

B. It symbolized Nazis power over Jews and their hatred for Jews was strong.

Pearl Harbor A. December 7th, 1941

B. Japan drops bombs on Pearl Harbor.

A. US thought that Japanese-Americans were spies, so they imprisoned them in camps.

A system that rescued Jewish children and brought them to Great Britain.

Tuskegee Airman A. African American fighter pilots that fought for the US.

B. During this time African Americans were segregated in the US, but yet they fought for their country.

Hitler Youth

A. Aryan children ages 10-18 were forced to be involved in the Hitler Youth.
