This voyages goal is to discover new items, foods, plants, animals, customs. Almost anything that brings me good fortune .

For this voyage I will need 5 ships of at least 100ft in length with 400 men. Enough food for 3 months and weapons for protection just in case .

The challenges we will face are

  • This is new land to me and my crew
  • Communicating with people who already live there
  • Not coming back empty handed
  • Finding unexplored land

The cultures I would interact with would be the natives who were there first and any culture I find on the way there

My voyage could impact other cultures in many different ways :

  • Positives - they adopt some of our culture and spread it , learn our language and become valuable allies
  • Negatives- we give them or they give us disease

MARCO POLO

Upon his return to Italy, Marco Polo told of his findings of jade, porcelain, silk, ivory, and other riches of Asia. He described the party of the Emperor's birthday in which everything from clothing to ornaments were laced in gold. He also explained how he saw people using black stones for fuel. This is what my voyage will plan on finding and bringing back

“There is nothing we lack, as your principal envoy and others have themselves observed. We have never set much store on strange or ingenious objects, nor do we need any more of your country’s manufactures."- from Qian-long a letter to King George III of Great Britain

This shows they are rich in resources and we should go there to trade.
