• poisonous, it also attracts  
• insects that pollenate and butterflies

The current status of grasslands is threatened, because many of them have been converted to farmland. Also growth of urban areas ( cities, factories) are polluting the area and destroying it. Some solutions are to protect them, because they are important to the study of ecology.
