CAUSE

• Ohre was taken in by the tuohys off the streets. They took him into his home.

EFFECTS

• Joined the school and started to accell in his grades
• Joined the football team and became a star.
• Stayed away from bad part of town and the fights and drugs.

Michael Ohre had been living on the streets his whole life. One day the Tuohys picked him up off the streets and took him into his life. He joined a school and the football team. He was a star in football and slowly got his grades higher. He is now playing in the NFL.

The theme of this story is that no matter how bad you think your life is, anybody can have a life changing event. And also do acts of kindness for people. It could change their life or just make their day better.

Comparing "leaf" to "homeless to NFl". They both had sacrifices that saved someone's life. The tuohys sacrificed their home to Michael Ohre so he wouldn't be homeless. In the Leaf story the painter painted a leaf so that the girl wouldn't loose hope and die.
