  • You can go hiking in the grand canyon
  • You can go to the Tusayan Ruin/Museum
  • You can go on a Scenic drive on the East Rim
  • You can walk on the skywalk
  • You can take a helicopter ride over and in the canyon

WHY IS THE GRAND CANYON FAMOUS?

  • It is the 7th wonder of the world
  • It is such a beautiful place to take the family
  • They have a famous skywalk

FACTS

  • 446km long, 18 miles wide, 1 mile deep
  • John Wesley Powell led first expedition down the Grand Canyon in 1869
  • Used to be called big canyon
  • Open year round including holiday, 7am to 6pm off-season 8am to 5pm
  • It has over 4 million visitors a year
