Teaching through rules.
The teacher gives the rules of the grammar point.
It is moves from general rule to specific examples where the rule is applied.
It is quick process, but not memorable.
Students are not involved.

INDUCTIVE APPROACH
Teaching through examples where the rule is inferred.
The students work out the rule of the grammar point.
It moves from specific examples to general rules
Not quick, but it is more effective.
Students are actively involved.
