Alluvial Fan

  • formed when a stream flows a steep slope onto flatter land.
  • It is located in China.
  • It is called Alluvial fan because it looks like I fan
  • A fan shaped deposited of earth formed where a stream flows from a steep slope
  • onto flatter land.

VALLEY

  • A valley is located Switzerland.
  • A stream often flows in the middle.
  • It is a low area between hills and mountains.

Plateau

  • It is located in Antarctic.
  • it is always super cold there.
  • a nearly leveled area made up of horizontal layer of rock.

Levee

  • A Levee is located in the Netherlands.
  • It keeps the the land from flooding.
  • It's an embankment that protects the land from flooding.

River

  • A river is a large body if water.
  • it is located Romania and Ukaine.
  • a river is a large flowing body of water that usually empties in a ocean.

Delta

  • A delta is located Utah
  • It is a fan shaped deposit of earth at the mouth of a stream.
  • It is fan shaped like the alluvial fan.

Mountian

  • It is always cold there.
  • Mount Everest is located in China and Nepal.
  • Mount Everest is the tallest Mountain in the whole world.
  • High,steeply slope unlifted area of the earths surface.

MEANDER

  • a Meander is a loop or curve in a river or stream.
  • It has rather a loop or curve.
  • It is located in Cuba.

Mesa

  • A Mesa is located Argentina.
  • It has a flat topped hill having one steep cliff.
  • An isolated, broad, flat topped hill having one steep cliff.

Canyon

  • A Canyon is a v-shaped with steep sides.
  • the Grand Canyon is located in Northern Arizona United States.
  • They are formed by erotion.
  • A canyon is a v-shaped gorge with steep sides eroded by a stream.

waterfall

  • A cascade of water falling from a height.
  • Every 5 secs. Niagara falls pumps enough water for everyone in the world
  • It can be found in New York USA.
  • a steep to vertical descent of a I stream channel.

Reflection

  • I learned that landforms are very important to your life.
  • It is important because you will need to know them for the rest of your life!
