This is a short introduction to an article by the Christian Science Monitor. The article is about how Google came out with a new fact check tool that helps people find out if the news they are reading is real news or fake news. This was done the counterattack the growing spread of fake news.

how they did this and

Why this is important
Google attacked fake news by providing links to Snopes and Politifact. The website also labels stories to users that might not be that trustworthy. Google did this because it's the world's most used search engine. They are sporting over 77% of the global search.

Outside encouragement

As you can guess they had encouragment
As you can guess, Google had a lot of encouragement from people. An assistant professor from Drexel University's College of Computing & Informatics was encouraging the move that Google has made. Also, there have been some good opinions. For example, Dr. Forte has said that this has been a good move, but is not the solution. In her words, "an incomplete solution".

What i think

I think this is good because Google has the biggest percentage of the "search market". This is also good because it encourages other companies to give tool check tools like this in there websites. This is already happening with Facebook and Twitter. But I also agree with Dr. Forte because it's an incomplete solution.
