History of Tribe

• Algonquian people
• Originally located in Southern Quebec n Eastern Ontario
• Each Community lives on their own reservation
• Have their own police, government, laws, and services, like small countries
• Leader of each band is called Ogima or Ogema which translates to chief

The 3 indians

• The first was a Maliseet from Saint John
• The second was a Penobscot from Old Town
• The third was a Penobscot from Old Town
• Seven years to reach Glooskap, seven days to get home

Maliseet from St. Johns

• Saw his lodge again, and he was a hunter
• Went through woods with pipe in his pocket, and peace in his heart
• Happy that he would always have venison

Penobscot from Old Town

• Man who loved women but never won a wife
• Anxious to know if magic worked
• Hundreds of white doves and beautiful women appeared from a bag
• Wild with passion they smothered him and more kept appearing
• Smothered him until he disappeared, then women and doves left

• All this man wanted to do was make people laugh
• on a path in the wood remembered of his gift, but forgot the warning
• weird and mystic sound to perfection spread over the land and a owl replied
• after time performance got bad
• tried to hunt then a demon's warble sound broke out
