GLOBALIZATION IN HISTORY

• Example: The Silk Road
• Explanation: this picture relates to the Silk Road because it shows the route in which people traveled to sell & trade goods, and also which countries were involved.
• PERSIA: the Silk Road relates to the social category because it has to do with people from many different countries interacting with each other and selling & trading goods with each other, spreading culture.

• PERSIA: Internet relates to the social category because it has to do with people from all over the world interacting with one another using the Internet

ECONOMY

• Example: corporations
• Explanation: this picture relates to corporations because all of the pictures are corporation logos
• PERSIA: corporation relates to the category economic because it has to do with large businesses that make money in different places, but in the end all of the money ends up in the same place.

PROS OF GLOBALIZATION

• Example 1: workers in poor countries make more money because more businesses are moving to their countries, the picture I used has workers in it showing there are job opportunities.
• Example 2: free trade, the picture shows that countries are free to trade with each other without any limits

CONS OF GLOBALIZATION

• Example 1: Standard of Living, the picture that I used for standard of living is a picture of a homeless man and a rich man with shopping carts but you can notice how their carts are filled with totally different things because each of them are living in two different ways which means their standard of living is different t
• Example 2: Loss of Culture, the picture I used is the one with the people going through the door and coming out all the same and that shows how globalization causes culture to get lost and everyone converts to one big culture and diversity is lost.
