Make sure you have a clear timetable of the exams with dates and times

Support your child to have the correct equipment the night before the exam paper

After each exam, allow your child to talk through the exam, dont anaylse their performance

ask simple questions such as 'whats up next' 'are there predicatble questions'

Help them keep a balanced rountine
Your child needs a balance between study and rest. Late night revision should be avoided

A good night's sleep is best
All study should end an hour before bed. Your child's brain needs time to relax for a good night's sleep

Eating and Drinking well is important at times of stress
Try and have healthy snacks ready for them

Its important for your child to have small amounts of time allocated to relax with friends or family
Your child needs to keep their spirits high over the weeks

Try not to show your stress
Its a stressful time for parents, but it will not help your child if they feel your anxiety

During study leave try to leave your child to get on with their revision
Catch up with them for snacks or lunch

As part of a break from study encourage your child to exercise
could be as simple as a walk to the shop

Whilst its important to be suportive and present for your child, remember to take care of yourself and have a little 'relaxation' when possible
