Differentiation

  • Struggling readers- heterogeneous groups with at-level or above-level students
  • English Language Learners- will use group discussion instead of recording answers onto the graphic organizer

Assessment

  • Formative- observe students throughout lesson and ask questions to check for comprehension
  • Summative- Collect the completed organizer to check for completeness and correctness.
  • Follow-up Lesson- Students will create a biome diorama using two resources, one being the book they used during the strategy.
