PRESENTATION OUTLINE
I have recently been volunteering at a puppy store, and they got new puppies. These puppies happened to be White German Shepherds. I am familiar with German Shepherds, but never in my life have I seen a WHITE German Shepherd. Honestly, I thought they were the cutest puppies ever. I have been trying to convince my parents to get one of the two siblings. I understand why they have been saying no, I do have other pets at home to take care of. So now I have been obsessing over them. That's why I chose to base this project on WHITE GERMAN SHEPHERDS.
The White Shepherd looks almost exactly like a German Shepherd except for the color. It has a stiff longhaired coat some have an undercoat. The coat color is always white.
The White Shepherd has a weather-resistant double coat. The outer coat is dense, straight, and harsh. The undercoat is short, thick, and fine in texture. At the neck, the coat may be slightly longer and heavier, particularly in males. Ideal coat color is a pure white.
White German Shepherds are usually bred to have an overall gentler, more mellow, and more sensitive personality than the traditionally colored (black and tan) German Shepherds.
Because of this sweeter temperament, White German Shepherds are almost never used as a protection dog. A White German Shepherd can be a good watchdog, but his "watching" is usually limited to alerting you that someone is coming. White German Shepherds are not typically aggressive.
The White Shepherd emerged from white-coat lines of the German Shepherd Dog in Canada, the United States, and from European imports. The White Shepherd breed was officially recognized by the United Kennel Club on April 14, 1999.
They grow to a height of 22 to 26 inches and weigh up to 85 pounds. White German Shepherds average life span is 11 years.
They have slightly broad foreheads, long muzzles, pointed ears, and almond-shaped eyes with a friendly expression. Their necks slope down to muscular shoulders and legs. Their back legs are solid and their tails are a little bushy.
In conclusion, I hope you enjoyed my presentation on White German Shepherds, and along the way I hope you have also gained an interest in this breed. Thank you for watching!
