GEOMETRY PROJECT

BY JOHN QUINN

A Square has congruent sides and angles

A hemisphere is half a sphere

Rectangles have 4 congruent angles

Alternate Interior angles have the same measure

Pentagons have five sides.

A rhombus has 4 congruent sides

The triangular faces of a pyramid meet at the apex

Prisms have 6 faces. This one has trapezoid bases

Circles have a radius. A length from the center to the edge. It is constant.

Perpendicular lines make four 90 degree angles

Kites have 2 pairs of congruent sides and two pairs of congruent angles. Diagonals nares perpendicular

To find the volume of a prism is length times width times height

Vertical angles have the same measure.

Cubes are also known as hexahedrons

All the points on the surface of the sphere are the same distance

A Cylinder is a prism with circle bases

Isosceles triangles have two congruent vertex angles

Pyramids have one base. This pyramids base is a hexagon.

Trapezoids have one pair of parallel sides

A cone is a shape that starts with a circle base and ends with an apex
