PRESENTATION OUTLINE

A complimentary angel is two angels that add up to 90

Pikachu is making an obtuse angel with its back and tail, an obtuse angel is an angle that measures more than 90 degrees

Base angels of an isosceles triangle: The side opposite the vertex angel

A supplementary angel is two angels that add up to equal 180

Circle: Something shaped like a plane curve

Collinear points: Points that lie on the same line

Convex polygon: A polygon with one or more interior angles greater than 180

Cube: A regular shape with 6 congruent faces

Hypotenuse of a right triangle: The side of the right triangle that is opposite the right angel

A parallelogram has both pairs of opposite side parallel

Concurrent lines: 3 or more lines on a plane that are concurrent intersect at a single point

Horizontal lines: Lines that go from left to right across the page

Parallel lines cut by a transversal: Two parallel lines are cut by another line called a transversal

Perpendicular lines: Two lines that intersect and make a right angle

Skew lines: two lines that do not intersect and are not parallel

Untitled Slide

Perpendicular planes: Two planes that meet and make a right angle

Parallel planes: Planes that never intersect or touch

Ray: a part of a line that starts at a point and goes on forever

Rectangle: any quadrilateral with 4 right angles

Rhombus: a quadrilateral whose four sides are the same length

Scalene triangle: a triangle with 3 unequal sides

Square: A plane figure with four equal sides

Trapezoid: A quadrilateral with two parallel sides

Congruent triangle: Corresponding sides and angles are equal

Similar triangles: Same shape but different sizes

Exterior angle of a triangle: is equal to the sum of the opposite interior angles.

Vertical angles: each of the pairs of opposite angles made by two intersecting lines

Concentric circles: two or more circles which have the same center point.

Polyhedron: a solid with flat faces.

Right cone: a cone whose surface is generated by lines joining a fixed point to the points of a circle, the fixed point lying on a perpendicular through the center of the circle.

Right cylinder: a cylinder with the bases circular and with the axis joining the two centers of the bases.

Acute angle: an angle that measures less than 90

Sphere: globe, an object similar in shape to a ball

Concave polygon: a polygon with one or more interior angles greater than 180
