Arabia intersects three

Arabia is a 'crossroads' linking

trade routes between 3 continents.

Arabia is mostly a  hot and

dry desert land with 100 degree temperatures..

Sand dunes, or hills of sand

shaped by the wind, can rise to 800 feet.

Huge, sandy deserts

cover large parts of Arabia.

An oasis is a wet,

fertile area in the desert.

developed in Arabia.

Some people lived a nomadic life

moving from place to place in the desert.

Others lived a sedentary, or

settled life in town.

Merchants & craftspeople lived there

& worked with people in the caravan trade.

A caravan is a group of

traders that travel together.

Towns became centers of trade

for both nomads and townspeople.
